Scrapbook of John Wilson at Princeton, 1876-1883.

The scrapbook of college mementos was prepared by John Wilson, primarily while a student at Princeton College. It contains correspondence, grade reports, examination schedules, programs, invitations, president's reports, baseball score cards, newspaper clippings and other mementoes. There are also mementos from the Freehold Institute and Philips' Exeter Academy as well as letters addressed to Wilson while he was teaching at the Normal School in Indiana, Pennsylvania. The scrapbook also contains an abstract of J.H. Salisbury's work on defective alimentation as well as his pamphlet on digestive diseases and a card containing the Salisbury diet. Correspondents include Arthur Lalanne Kimball.

Dr. James Henry Salisbury (1823-1905) of Cleveland, Ohio, graduated from Albany Medical College in 1850 and practiced as a specialist in chronic diseases in Cleveland and New York City. Salisbury contributed much to the field of medical research, publishing over seventy-five books and pamphlets.
